Time to Take Control

My name is Austin Evans, and I’m an Exercise Physiologist with a degree in Kinesiology and certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

The Weight of the World…

Currently, over two billion adults worldwide are overweight or obese — conditions strongly linked to a wide range of undesirable things — and the U.S. has one of the highest percentages of its population in these categories.

Medicine for Life

Exercise Physiologists — like me — focus on far more than just traditional “exercise.” They also include lifestyle, nutrition and physical activities that incorporate and improve strength, endurance, balance, flexibility, coordination and overall functionality. My own clients range from professional athletes to individuals with chronic disease conditions and other illnesses (most are somewhere in between). Regardless of population group, general goals for each client are quite similar:

  • Improve quality of life
  • Live longer and be happier
  • Prevent unnecessary injuries
  • Have more energy and increase productivity
  • Reduce risks of chronic disease and other ailments

Evolution, Not Revolution

My goal is to share the information and knowledge I’ve attained with others, and to provoke them to take control, be proactive, and become the best they can be. And I’ll prove that even some of the most seemingly insignificant things can achieve quantifiable, life-changing improvements.

So here’s the first of what I hope will be many future posts. My only stipulation is that the content be meaningful, and never just filler to keep the flow going.
